It must be exhausting trying to keep up this “alpha-male-no-gay-shit-under-any-circumstances-ever” persona. 

I think it’s because a lot of men can’t separate: sex, gender, and romance.

I can’t live a life so rigid, so it’s hard for me to understand why other people are so comfortable with it.
  

I doubt anyone is ‘comfortable’ with it, they simply follow that path because they don’t know any other or pressures from societal expectations.
